Random info, girls scouts, 4H Clover kids

This really is random, I told the girls at card group tonight that I would share this, so here it is.

Clover Kids Corner Activities

I did a lot of 4H growing up, so whenever I am asked if I know any activity ideas for youngsters, I default to my 4H brain.  And what a wonderful brain it is.

Merry, Merry Christmas CARDS!

I love Christmastime! I love the spirit of the season and everything that evokes Christmas feelings be it cards, music etc. (Especially music, I LOVE the music of Christmas. . . its the BEST!)

We had a great card group tonight! Lots of creativity and cute ideas and DELICIOUS wassail! Thanks Kimber for hosting. It was so fun!
You know what else I think is fun? Coming up with names for your cards without your input. . . no one has complained so far. But if you want to have a spefic name for your card you can tell me. . .otherwise, I shall continue to name them for you. AND I am really hungry while I am typing this! If only had something to eat. . . . hmmmmmm. . . . edible cards. . . . that should be our theme next time. . . .that should be our theme. ;-)
OH, ONE MORE THING!!! If you want to get a REALLY good look at the cards, click on the picture and you will be able to see a larger image.
ENJOY!!! Now if only I had eggnog, life would be perfect!

"Peace on Earth" with DVD by Traci

"Silent Night with Embossed Candy Canes" by Kandi

"Reindeer" by Belinda

here's a close up. . . . look closely at their faces.. .. they all have so much personality. I love cards with a sense of humour.
"Growing Santa" usually Santa's belt is doing the growing. . . that is not the case with this Santa.

Just look how TALL he is! So fun! I hope I can figure out how to make this. I'll post a link ASAP!

"Let there be Peace on Earth" by Kimber
A mixed bouquet of Christmas Cards!

This is the project we learned to make tonight. . . its an origami wreath. You can watch a video to learn how to make you own by clicking HERE. Email me a picture after you've tried it and I'll post it on the card blog. Feel free to decorate your wreath. . . I'll post a picture of mine after I've decorated it.

Just some photos of my card while it was a work in progress. . . . completed cards with DVDs

I think the visual repetition of the cards is beautiful to look at. And I really enjoyed using the bright white with the red and green. It felt so Christmasy!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Cards are "BOO"tiful

And here they are all together!! The cards from the "Halloween Theme" card group. I heard some of the ladies say this was our best group yet! And it truly was awesome! Everyone really got the creative juices flowing. I love this set of cards and I hope you will enjoy looking through these, too.
"Boo Friends" by KANDI

Doodling is really popular right now - like Kandi's dot border she drew around the right half of the card. This card truly gets us into the spirit of Halloween by wearing it's "costume" - the purple sequin necklace. THANKS Kandi.
"Hey there, BOOtiful" by TRACI
This card proved you can be feminine AND scary!! ;-)

"Tag, you're it!" by TERA

You are supposed to attached this card to a plate of goodies and leave them anonymously on your neighbors porch then RUN. *Remember to ring the doorbell first!
"Happy Halloween" by ANNA fine details done with an EXACTO KNIFE!!! What a fun idea! I love the green bow on top and the stamping that looks like the pumpkin vines.

"She's got legs!" by JENNIFER
She may have chosen a different name for her darling, stamped and painted card. (Jennifer- if you prefer something else you can tell me.) :-) The thing I love about this card is the clever way to give a small gift! See how she's included EARINGS as a part of the card? I think there are a lot of different ways we could use this idea. Maybe add a necklace, bracelet. . . . hmmmmm what else? Leave a comment if you have another fun idea.

"Haunted House" by WHITNEY
Cute, intricate, scary and a labor of love! She cut out all of her cards with an EXACTO KNIFE! How many hours did the whole thing take?????
"Woo hoo" by KIMBER

I hope you will forgive me Kimber. . . I had a hard time getting some of these close-ups shots to focus. . . (they looked fine on my camera, but when I got them on my computer and blew them up I realized it was a little blurry - SORRY!) Hopefully everyone will get the idea.

"Zigzag Pumpkin Card" by KATY.

Classic orange and black Halloween colors. I really like the zig zag border, I haven't sewn on paper for about 4 years now, but you have inspired me Katy. THANKS!

"Too Cute to Spook" by BETHANY

This card has a story to tell. You can almost see its "lips" moving. Bethany saw a picture of this card at the store and snapped a photo on her phone. She used the photo as her pattern and designed the shape of the skull freehand. This card has lots of personality!

Well, thats it! Just a few snapshots below that I thought would be fun to share.
I love this picture, its like a big bouquet of cards. BTW . . PURPLE is my favorite fall color! Its so unexpected, I usually think of oranges and reds and golds, but I think purple is one of the best surprises of fall - which is why I had to find a way to incorporate it into my card.

WARNING: This is NOT a card, but sooooooo cute!!! Try to refrain from pinching his cheeks.

cards galore!

THANK YOU EVERYONE AND ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY HAUNTINGS!

Falling into Fall

Fall! Probably my favorite time of year, probably because my birthday is in the fall so I often look forward to getting presents. ahhhhhhhhhh, happy memories.

It was fun to see how many different cards we came up with that fit the fall theme, I really LOVE fall! I love the weather, I love harvesting food from the garden . . my name (Traci) means "princess of the harvest" Actually it just means "the harvester" but I was jealous of all those "Sara-types" out there (Sara means princess) so I made an executive decision and changed the meaning of my name. I feel much better about it now. (I think everyone should add a little "princess" in their name and see if you don't feel better about things.)

Enough rambling about me. . . . .lets get to the cards you've all been waiting for.
